The aim of this thesis was to analyze security protocols for a secure mental poker-like game. The designed program system should enable a secure card game for two players via computer network. System should be manageable by the graphical user interface. Additional request was transparency of protocols.

We analyzed the following security protocols for card game: Rivest, Shamir and Adleman’s protocol, Fortune and Merritt’s protocol, and Yung’s protocol. The first one covering two- player card game. Last two are suitable for a secure multiplayer game. The end of the analysis is a comparison of these protocols.

We decide to implement Fortune and Merritt’s protocol. The final program system allows play a two-player card game ”Sedma”. Creation of program system was realized in three stages: analysis, design and implementation.

The tests showed that proposed system could be used for a secure two-player card game. The used protocol can be extended for a multiplayer card game.
